Description.
The Oak church is rooted in God, building a community, serving the world – that’s 'who we are'.
Because of who Jesus is and what he’s done, we live our lives passionately following Him – that’s’ 'how we live'.
So, who is Jesus? Join us at one of our gatherings or ask us about Him – knowing Him changes everything
Additional Information.
All the Life Groups gather as one Church, weekly, on a Sunday, to celebrate and enjoy God together.
We meet at 10am (we usually eat together so feel free to turn up hungry and/or with some food) at Farsley AFC - everyone is welcome!
If you're new in town or been here a while - you're still welcome. Everything is relaxed and informal, you'll fit right in.
Upcoming Events
Talking or communicating with people is something we do in the course of everyday life. When God created the world, we’re told that the first humans walked and talked with God in the garden of Eden, they had regular conversation with Him. Prayer is often thought of as something done privately, and it’s important that it is, but that’s not the only way we pray. God promises that when one or two people gather in His name, He will be with us. With this in mind, every Sunday evening, 7-8pm we gather to pray. We believe that the Christian life isn’t stuck to a bunch of meetings but is life lived with God and each other all the time. That’s why we have Life Groups: 2-3 people (gender specific) gathering weekly (or whenever they can) to encourage, pray and reach out together, that is the essential core of The Oak!
