If you’re up for being involved in an exciting new church plant, this could be the place for you! Besides Leeds’ other treats like chips & gravy, come and enjoy being part of a whole bunch of us who are serious about prayer & mission, friendship & community, pursuing Jesus & growing in faith.

Riverside Church is a movement of prayer and mission which started around Easter of 2011. Lots of us have been in Leeds for a while and see it as home - and although we’re officially Church of England and Methodist, our family is made up of all ages of people from loads of different faith and non-faith backgrounds.

We seek to wrap our lives around three Biblical values, faith, hope and love:

Live by faith: pursuing an intimate friendship with Jesus
Illustrate hope: displaying God’s love and grace to those around us
Known by love: living life in genuine community

What do we do?

Sundays - The Gathering: All of our Missional Communities come together to celebrate what God is doing among us. We worship, hear and respond to God’s word and pray for the people, places and world around us.

In the week - Missional Communities: These are the building blocks of the church. We encourage individuals to join (or start!) Missional Communities, where we grow and learn and journey together in mission, prayer, Bible study and hanging out. Some of them are based where people live, others of them focus on a project or passion.

Rule of life: Individually, we’re all trying to develop a rule of life – sounds scary but it’s not! This is the way we keep ourselves pursuing Jesus, kind of like a training programme to help us follow Jesus.
