Description.
St George's is a growing charismatic evangelical church, right in the centre of Leeds, with around 800 members. We seek to be contemporary and relevant in all we do, and this informs how we spend time worshipping God, learning from His Word and growing in community. We’re passionate about equipping and releasing students to live for Jesus in every aspect of life, and seeing His Kingdom come in Leeds.
Additional Information.
The student ministry at St. George's is called breathe*.
The core element of breathe* is our Thursday night meeting where 10 small groups gather together to worship, receive teaching, open the Bible and pray together. We also gather together at 6.30pm on sunday for 'student teas' where you get a good value (£1) meal and an opportunity to meet other students before heading up to the 7:30 service together.
There are also loads of opportunities to get involved in other ministries at St. George's- kids work, youth work, local and international mission projects, Alpha and the worship band. We also run student discipleship groups looking at issues in apologetics, biblical theology, preaching, worship leading and counselling!
Get in touch for more info - we'd love to meet you over a coffee/cuppa, and if there's anything else we can do to help you out let us know.
Upcoming Events
Every Tuesday night 20 or more guys get together to play 5-a-side football for an hour at Kirkstall Goals. KO @ 10pm
Just turn up and bring £4 if you want to play! We can sort lifts if you get in touch.
Every Thursday at 7:30pm about 75 students meet to worship together, hear some great teaching and spend time in small groups.
